Staying in Focus: Everything’s Coming Up Roses

My knock-out roses are blooming like they never have before. We must be getting just the right combination of sun and rain. Come on over! Enjoy a virtual walk through my garden! It is still a little cool out and the morning birds are singing. A slight breeze ruffles the velvet soft petals on the flowers as sunlight filters in through the trees. Feel free to close your eyes, breathe in the sweet scent of the flowers, take a few deep cleansing breaths and meditate for a few minutes. When you’re ready, open your eyes and start your day, relaxed and centered and open to the new experiences this day will bring.

Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses.

Alphonse Kar

Won’t you come into the garden? I would like my roses to see you.

Richard Brinsley Sheridan

A Rose Garden

blossoms of red roses
in riotous profusion
create a cloak of scarlet
draped over leaves of green
in shades of red my garden
fairly shouts with each new bloom
that spring is nearly over
for the roses herald June!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your virtual garden visit.  Come back tomorrow for a walk through another part of the garden. Stop by the bookstore today and treat yourself to a new journal. If you get a chance, sit outside near some flowers, and reflect in your journal how you felt before and after spending some time with the flowers.
